Critical Feedback Regarding Checkout Process and Staff Conduct My recent stay at your resort began with positive impressions, and I was initially convinced I had found an exceptional destination. However, this positive view was completely undermined by a highly unprofessional and concerning incident during our checkout. For context, I am Vietnamese, and my husband is not. Upon approaching the reception to check out, my husband initiated the process and gave the staff specific instructions to prepare the final invoice, stating he would return momentarily to handle the payment. After he stepped away, I asked the receptionist if the bill had been settled. She claimed it had not and immediately presented me with the invoices, applying significant pressure for me to pay on the spot. When I questioned why this was happening, she offered no explanation and remained silent. After I completed the transaction, my husband returned. He was confused, as he confirmed he had explicitly told the staff to wait for him. It became clear his clear instructions were completely disregarded. This interaction was unacceptable. The staff's decision to ignore one guest's request and immediately pivot to pressure his wife—a local—suggests a severe breakdown in communication. More critically, this behavior felt opportunistic and discriminatory. It created the distinct impression that the staff feigned a misunderstanding with my husband simply because it was more convenient to aggressively pursue payment from me, a local. This "scam attitude" and lack of basic consideration is a serious lapse in professional hospitality. What was intended to be a peaceful vacation was ruined in the final moments by this forceful and disrespectful conduct. I am deeply disappointed and, as a result, cannot see myself returning.

Real calm place. I got a real good feeling. Nice rooms, great bathroom. Staff is friendly. Restaurant serves good food and breakfast. Pool area relaxing.

Stayed at the Meekong lodge resort for 3 nights with my partner. Food, services and experiences were all fantastic. I would recommend joining their morning river cruise, great way to meet the locals and experience authentic culture.

Staff are wonderful. Thong (hope I’ve spelt it right!) was our guide during our stay and he was excellent. We booked through Travel Local who did all the organising for us. Our tour was ‘all inclusive’ breakfast is buffet and everyone gets that included. Our lunch and dinners were set menu, authentic dishes and lots of them! Using local ingredients - there was a cooking class one night, pretty sure you can just book into what you want at the front desk. We did the boat tour with handicrafts, snake holding, rice was puffed, rice paper making demonstrated and we were taken in small boats through the mangroves. Another reviewer said to skip the market, I disagree, it’s small and compact so a perfect introduction rather than tackling the bigger ones in the big cities. The pool is lovely, happy hour is 15% off your drinks - cocktails are all hand pours, so they’re strong lol ! It was a wonderfully relaxing stay. Aircon in the bedroom not the more open air style bathroom (we didn’t have a bath or a pool outside) we were back behind the restaurant which was nice as boats ply the river 24/7 and they can be noisy. Overall I’d highly recommend it. We’ve dropped one star because it’s a bit rough around the edges - the pool has loose tiles, pavers have grass growing between them etc. but new chairs arrived pool side the 2nd night so guessing the owners are onto it.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who’s interested in spending quality time on Mekong delta. The bungalows were quite like the photos, very clean and with a huge, spacious bath. We also had the natural spring pool in front in the bungalow where the water is pumped daily, at request and it comes from a natural spring at 40 degrees. It’s a nice way of spending the evening. Also, the big pool was really nice, the water is at a comfortable temperature, they offer free sun beds and towels and they also have a pool bar which comes is handy. The restaurant is spacious, the breakfast was included and it was a generous buffet with plenty of options. The main dishes in the menu were not so various but there are plenty of vegetarian dishes. The prices are relatively good.
